Volunteering
North Parish Church - Safeguarding
Volunteers within NPC play a key part in helping the church achieve its mission. As part of this, the Church of Scotland has a firm commitment to prevent harm or abuse to children and adults at risk, however low we think that risk may be. Therefore, we have a requirement for all volunteers to comply with the statutory process of Protection of Vunerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, scheme (PVG scheme). You may know this by its previous name, Disclosure Scotland.
If you would like to be involved in working with children or vulnerable adults within NPC (e.g. Zones or Holiday Club) please speak to Lynne Easton or click on the links below to familiarise yourself with the process and to download the application form.

Policy Statement
Church of Scotland Safeguarding Policy Statement 2010
The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and wellbeing for each individual. Through its congregations, working together with the safeguarding service and the statutory agencies, the Church seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people who come into contact with the Church and its services.
The Gospel proclaims that it is the responsibility of everyone within the fellowship of the Church to prevent harm and will always seek to reduce risk.
The Church's commitment to safeguarding reminds us that God cares passionately about the welfare and wellbeing of all people.
